Marlinton Rescue is always accepting new members. If you are interested in a volunteer opportunity we will provide the training and uniforms if you are willing to devote some time and energy to our organization. As a new EMS volunteer you would be expected to attend our bi-weekly meetings and training sessions and respond to as many EMS calls as possible. New EMS volunteers start out riding along as observers and are trained to assist with patient care, emergency vehicle driving and administrative functions.
If you are looking for an adrenaline rush give EMS a try. Download an application from our Downloads page and return it to our station in person or via fax or email. All new volunteers must undergo a complete criminal background check, fingerprinting, and drug and alcohol screening. We prefer that our volunteers live within 6 miles of Marlinton, but if you work or are in town often we do consider other applicants. We do have a junior membership program for high school students ages 15 – 18.
